Product Packaging Design – Brîg Barbers Product Range
Discover how a cohesive product packaging design approach helped shape a premium grooming range for Brîg Barbers, creating a consistent and considered product identity.
Brîg Barbers approached us to develop a product packaging design strategy for a new range of grooming products to launch alongside their barbershop. The aim was to create a premium, well-considered range that felt consistent, accessible and aligned with the character of the shop, while also standing confidently as a retail offering in its own right.
The project formed part of a wider collaboration, where we worked closely with the client across multiple areas including architecture, branding, creative and digital sectors. This broader involvement allowed the product range to be developed as part of a cohesive vision, ensuring it sat naturally within the overall identity of the business. The outcome is a refined and unified collection that supports both the brand and the in-store experience.

The project focused on developing a cohesive product packaging for a growing range of grooming products, forming part of the wider Brîg Barbers brand and shop experience. Working closely with the client, the process was highly collaborative, balancing a clear design direction with the client’s own strong eye for detail and understanding of the market.
From the outset, it was important that the products felt like a natural extension of the barbershop, rather than a separate or disconnected retail offer. The range was developed to feel premium but inclusive, taking subtle inspiration from high-end brands such as Dior and Chanel while ensuring the products remained accessible and appropriate for a modern barbershop environment. This balance was key to creating a product line that felt aspirational without becoming exclusive or out of reach.
A defining design decision was the introduction of a predominantly white palette, creating a clean and confident identity across the range. Although initially met with some hesitation, this approach became central to the overall success of the products. The use of white allowed the range to feel refined and contemporary, while also providing a consistent backdrop that unified each product and enhanced shelf presence within the shop.
The project involved the design and coordination of over 20 individual products, requiring a considered approach to layout, hierarchy and consistency across multiple formats and sizes. A clear and repeatable label system was developed to ensure each product could sit comfortably within the range while still maintaining its own identity. Alongside the graphic design, we also supported decisions around bottle selection and overall product presentation, ensuring the physical and visual elements worked seamlessly together.
With tight timescales aligned to the shop opening, the process required efficient decision-making, clear communication and a pragmatic approach to delivery. Despite these constraints, the final outcome feels resolved and well considered, demonstrating that a strong concept and collaborative process can deliver high-quality results within a limited timeframe.
The completed range sits confidently within the space, reinforcing the wider brand identity and contributing to the overall customer experience. The products have been well received and are performing strongly, becoming an important part of the business and supporting its continued growth.
Importantly, this work formed part of a broader, ongoing collaboration with the client, including planning and listed building applications, shop fit-out design, branding, signage and website development. This integrated approach has allowed the project to develop as a cohesive whole, strengthening both the brand and the long-term working relationship.
