Digital Product Design | ArchAdemia Education Platform

Discover how our digital product design helped transform a simple idea into a global platform for architectural education, connecting students, professionals and institutions.

This project began as our vision to evolve a small online learning platform previously managed by the same team into a more ambitious international hub for architectural education. Designed to bring together students, professionals, businesses and institutions, the platform now showcases architectural knowledge and practical skills within a growing digital community.

Through a process of digital design, we reimagined the concept, developing the brand and creating a prototype focused on intuitive user experience and interface design. While the early iteration of the platform provided the foundation, the concept has since evolved into a fully operational website supported by a growing team of content creators and developers.

  • This project began with a simple appointment: to review and rebrand a modest e-learning platform. The original website offered bite-sized content for architecture students — helpful, practical and well-intentioned, but limited in scope. The initial brief was straightforward: evolve the brand identity and improve the user experience. However, as we began working closely with the directors, it quickly became clear that the opportunity was far greater than the original scope suggested.

Having built a strong relationship with the team, we felt comfortable challenging the brief and exploring a more ambitious direction. Drawing on our understanding of both architectural education and professional practice, we proposed expanding the platform into a destination that could support students, graduates and practitioners alike. Rather than simply refining an existing website, the aim became to shape a growing digital community — a place to learn, collaborate, communicate and connect.

A key part of this process was redefining the brand itself. We evolved the original Life Hacks for Architects concept into ArchAdemia, a name that reflected the ambition of becoming a trusted global resource for the architectural profession. The concept included structured courses, downloadable content, portfolio hosting, podcasts, video learning, job listings, mentoring opportunities and community forums — all brought together within a single digital platform.

To bring the idea to life, we developed the initial visual identity, UX wireframes and a fully clickable prototype that demonstrated how the platform could grow over time. This early work allowed the team to clearly communicate the vision to potential contributors and collaborators while also helping define the business model and long-term strategy.

Following this early stage, the directors began assembling a part-time team to continue developing the idea — refining the content, expanding the infrastructure and onboarding contributors. While the platform has since evolved with input from additional designers and developers, our early strategic work played an important role in establishing the direction and shaping what ArchAdemia has become today.

We continue to follow the project with interest and are proud to have played a part in helping move the idea from a simple student resource into a growing international hub for architectural education and professional development.
