ArchAdemia: From Inital Vision to Global Education Hub
Discover how we transformed a simple idea into a thriving hub for architectural education, connecting students, professionals, and institutions worldwide.
This project began as our vision to evolve a simpler platform previously managed by the same team into an international hub for online architectural education. Designed to unite students, professionals, businesses, and organisations, the platform now develops and showcases architectural and construction skills.
We reimagined the concept, developing the brand and creating a prototype focused on intuitive user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design. While the initial iteration of the website served as a foundation, their team has since expanded and refined it into a fully operational platform. Today, it thrives as a global community supported by content creators and web developers.

This project began with a simple appointment: to review and rebrand a modest e-learning platform. The original site offered bite-sized content for architecture students — helpful, practical, and well-intentioned, but limited in scope. The brief was straightforward: evolve the brand identity and improve the user experience. But as soon as we began working with the directors, it became clear there was an opportunity for something far greater.
Having built a strong relationship with the team, we felt comfortable challenging the brief. Based on our insight into both the education and professional architecture sectors, we proposed a broader concept: a destination platform that could support students, graduates, and practitioners alike. Not just an e-learning site, but a growing digital community — a place to learn, collaborate, communicate, and connect.
We reimagined the brand and its purpose, evolving Life Hacks for Architects into ArchAdemia — a name that reflected its ambition to become a trusted resource and meeting place for the architectural profession. We presented a concept that could eventually include structured courses, downloadable content, portfolio hosting, podcasting, video content, job listings, mentoring, and community forums. A flexible platform that could support universities, practices, and individuals all in one place.
We developed the initial visual identity, UX wireframes, and a fully clickable website prototype that demonstrated how the platform might grow over time. This early-stage work helped clarify the business model, attract initial interest, and form the foundations of what has since become a steadily expanding platform.
Following our involvement, the directors began to assemble a part-time team to continue developing the idea — refining the content, building out the infrastructure, and onboarding contributors. While the website has since evolved with input from other designers, our early strategic and conceptual work played a key role in setting the direction and shaping what ArchAdemia has become today.
We continue to follow their progress with interest, and we’re proud to have played a part in helping move the idea from a helpful student blog into a fully fledged digital hub with growing influence in the UK and beyond. It’s the kind of project we thrive on — collaborative, strategic, and focused on long-term value.
This wasn’t just a design job — it was a conversation, a vision, and a chance to build something new. ArchAdemia continues to evolve, and we’re excited to see where it goes next.
